How do I get started?

After receiving your inquiry, our Client Coordinator will reach out to you within 24 business hours. After collecting some general information about your needs, you’ll then be contacted by your chosen therapist or coach to schedule a consultation or first appointment.

Wellspace believes that having the right “fit” in a therapist or coach is essential for the best growth to occur. Therefore, all of our professionals offer a free consultation prior to beginning your work together. Your consultation will provide you with an opportunity to meet your therapist or coach, get a feel for her style, discuss your goals, and ask any additional questions you may have.

Do I need counseling, coaching or consultation?

You have many options when it comes to getting effective help in making positive changes in your life. However, there are some differences that you should keep in mind when determining whether counseling, coaching or consultation is right for you.

Counseling

  • For those dealing with a challenge, pain or loss, and are in need of healing and understanding
  • Focus: past and present
  • Format: asking questions, listening, uncovering, diagnosing

Coaching

  • For healthy, well-functioning individuals who want to take action in order to move forward in some area of life
  • Focus: present and future
  • Format: asking questions, listening, designing action plans

Consultation

  • For those in need of specialized expertise from someone who has knowledge and experience that can be shared
  • Focus: future
  • Format: telling, educating, advising

What are your fees?

Therapy and coaching are an investment in YOU and your future.

Fees charged for 50-minute sessions and coaching packages are equivalent to those charged by other similarly-qualified professionals in the Bay Area. Your chosen professional will discuss their fees during your free consultation.

Wellspace also reserves a small portion of our practice for clients who need a reduction in fees. If you cannot afford the full fee, feel free to inquire about lower fee slots.  If available, we are more than happy to accommodate you!

Payment is due at the time of service and can be made through check, cash, or credit card. Wellspace may also accept payment from most health savings accounts (HSA) and flex spending accounts (FSA). Please note that some Wellspace services may not be covered by these types of accounts and you are encouraged to check with your particular plan to be sure.


Do you take insurance?

Wellspace practitioners do not take insurance. However, if you have a PPO insurance plan we are happy to provide you with a statement (superbill) to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. You are encouraged to call your insurance company and ask what their reimbursement policy is for out-of-network providers.

Wellspace has also partnered with Better – an app that helps patients who pay out-of-pocket to get reimbursed by their health insurance. After each visit, simply submit your superbill via the Better app. They will work with your insurance to get you reimbursed.

* Please note that this applies to therapy clients ONLY.  Insurance does NOT cover coaching or consultation sessions. 


What is your cancellation policy?

Wellspace has a 48-hour cancellation policy.

Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. Cancellations less than 48 hours in advance are subject to the full fee for the appointment time.
