  • We have TWO beautiful locations in San Francisco + Benicia, California. Se below for information about each office location.

    San Francisco Office:

    Our San Francisco office is located in the elegant and historic James Flood Building in the heart of downtown. It’s a short walking distance from Union Square, SOMA, Civic Center, and the Financial District. All major Bay Area transits stop next to the building – BART, MUNI, and even the cable car! But, if you decide to drive, the spacious Ellis-O'Farrell parking garage is located right behind the building.

    Our Benicia office is located right in the heart of Downtown Benicia. Street parking is available. Please note that to enter into the office, you will need to walk up one flight of stairs.

  • It is common for individuals to come to us unsure of whether they need therapy or coaching. That’s okay!   • There’s never a need to apologize for any emotion expressed at The Connective! All emotions are welcome and an important part of the healing and self-discovery process. Our practitioners will provide a safe place for you to laugh, cry, and share your most sacred thoughts and feelings. If you do cry, we commend you for your vulnerability and your commitment to showing up for yourself plus, we bet you’ll feel better afterwards!

  • It really depends on the service you’re seeking. While most of our practitioners will prefer to meet with you weekly, we’re here to meet you where you’re at and your practitioner will guide you in determining the best rhythm for you to meet wellness goals.

    For our mindfulness + energetic healing clients, we welcome you to try it once or join us many times thereafter - we’ll welcome you at all levels.

  • Therapy and Coaching services are an investment in YOU and your future. Fees charged for 45, 60, 75, and 90-minute sessions and for coaching packages are equivalent to those charged by other similarly-qualified professionals in the Bay Area. Our Client Coordinator will review the fees of your chosen practitioner during your New Client Intro Call.

    Payment is due at the time of service and can be made through check, cash, or credit card. The Connective may also accept payment from your health savings accounts (HSA) and flex spending accounts (FSA). Please note that some services may not be covered by these types of accounts and you are encouraged to check with your particular plan to be sure.

  • We are not in-network with any insurance plans, however many of our therapy clients use out-of-network benefits and receive partial to full reimbursement for our services. If you have a PPO insurance plan, we encourage you to call your insurance company and ask what their reimbursement policy is for out-of-network providers. Additionally, The Connective currently partners with Reimbursify - an app that does all the work of submitting out-of-network claims for you. If this is something you are interested in, please let someone from our Client Experience Team know and they can send you the paperwork to get started.     *Please note that insurance reimbursement applies to therapy clients ONLY. Insurance does NOT cover most nutrition and health coaching services nor life/career coaching.

    Depending on your plan, you may also be able to use your FSA or HSA benefits to pay services.

  • The Connective has a 48-hour cancellation policy. Your appointment time is reserved especially for you and our practitioners appreciate advance notice so they can prepare accordingly. Thus, cancellations less than 48 hours in advance are subject to the full fee for the appointment. You can email your practitioner or call our Client Experience Team (415) 632-1010 to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
