WHO I WORK WITH

I work well with individuals and couples who are finding themselves at times of change. Whether that change is motivated by a desire to grow and seek greater fulfillment or one that is an unexpected cause of suffering, change has the potential for transformation. I love working with people one-on-one or in the context of a relationship to find their paths toward acceptance, connection, and wholeness.

MY APPROACH

At my core, I am humanistic and strengths-based. I trust my clients’ self-knowledge and capacities for growth and see my role as a partner in accessing and bringing clarity to that wisdom. I integrate approaches to suit each clients’ needs and goals by attuning to and utilizing relational dynamics, trauma-informed practices, and mindfulness. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for authentic exploration. I also believe in the power of feeling good—you can expect me to wholeheartedly celebrate moments of joy, share laughs, and express genuine appreciation.

MY BACKGROUND

Originally from the Midwest, I’ve called San Francisco home for a little more than a decade. My first career was in the arts where I supported and amplified the creative process of visual artists, including artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Creative Growth. I bring this passion for honoring self-expression to my work as a therapist.

I received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. During my graduate training, I worked in a medical hospital providing mental health counseling for patients and their families navigating grief, loss, adjustment to medical conditions, complex trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, and identity changes that come with life’s transitions.

WHY I LOVE THIS WORK

I feel continually amazed and humbled by the resilience and creativity I witness daily as a therapist. I love this work because of the deep connections I get to make with my clients. It makes my life richer and more meaningful.

A BIT MORE ABOUT ME...

Running trails, swimming, and backpacking in the mountains make my soul feel good. When I’m not playing outside, I’m likely enjoying some art, reading, or making a yummy mess in the kitchen.
